The Buffalo Launch Club provides a vibrant social environment, an excellent water front dining experience, outstanding entertainment and fun filled family activities both on and off the water to enrich the lives of our members and create lasting friendships.   As a member of the BLC, you will enjoy a private facility on a prime waterfront location on the Niagara River, nestled at the south end of Grand Island, NY.    We offer upscale casual dining and beverage service for members and their guests.  You also have the opportunity to host private events at the club at discounted rates, along with attending a long list of social events all year round.    Our 86 slip marina / basin provides access to ice, water, electricity, showers, a laundry facility, and Wi-Fi.  Our heated swimming pool, snack shack  and tennis /pickleball courts provide our members with opportunities to exercise and social interaction.   At the end of the day, our members relax in the Captain's Quarters restaurant and enjoy the panoramic view of the sun setting over the mighty Niagara River. Your Social Club on the Island
At the Buffalo Launch Club, both Social and Active members enjoy a superior quality of life and leisure. We create memorable moments all year long at the Club! Our Members are able to establish clubs within the community for a variety of interests they may have. Whether you love to read, play cards, create art, play pickleball, or enjoy the outdoors, we likely have the club for you. If you are interested in another hobby, create your own! When it comes to social life, The Buffalo Launch Club prides itself on being one of the friendliness communities in Western New York. A hidden treasure on Grand Island, NY, the Buffalo Launch Club is the perfect place to dock and enjoy our amenities. Our dining room overlooks the beautiful Niagara River and Members and guests are invited to take advantage of our menu and spectacular view. 




  • Captain's Quarters

    • The recently re-designed Captain's Quarters (CQ) is the main dining room used for member dining. It features a 30 foot long bar with accompanying bar stools, two Flat Screen TVs to enjoy the sports, seating for around 60 people, and not to mention a beautiful view of the basin and the Niagara River. In the summer months, there is both an upper and lower outdoor patio where members can enjoy the beautiful weather. Friday and Saturday nights also attract many talents for your listening pleasures.

      Dress Code Policy


      The summer season starts May 15th and ends October 15th.
      During this period, Members/Guests and children can dress casually in appropriate summer club attire. Dress, golf, polo, banded shirts, designer slacks, jeans and shorts are appropriate.

      Unsuitable attire would include swimsuits, muscle shirts, tank tops, short shorts and work clothing. Gentlemen please remove your hat when in the CQ and Dining Room.

      From October 15th to Flag Raising, the following dress code is in effect:
      Proper Club attire is required in all dining rooms. Business casual would be considered proper attire. Please respect the fine traditions of the BLC.

  • The Basin (Marina)

    • The basin has 86 permanent slips for members and an additional 9 transient slips. Each slip is outfit with power, water, and cable TV. The Clubhouse has both mens and ladies facilities accessible 24/7 and a washer/dryer facility. The grounds of the club is also equipped with wireless Internet usable from the comfort of your own boat.

  • The Pavilion

    • The Pavilion is available for rent by members and non-members at any time.  From small get-together to large parties, the club can fully accommodate any and all of your needs. The space is perfect for casual events such as graduation parties, birthday parties, and family reunions, but has also been used for weddings, celebrations of life and much more! The Pavilion can seat about 65-75 people fully covered, with additional seating partly covered.

      The Pavilion can be rented through the manager and we provide tables, chairs, an outdoor grill, and covered cookhouse. A fire pit, horseshoe pits, volley ball court, playground and corn hole boards add an element of fun and relaxation for guests of all ages.
      Although we offer several food & beverages packages, BLC members have the option to bring their own food for hosted parties that are reserved within 30 days of the date of the event. Members also have the option to add on pool privileges for their party guests, during select dates and times. 

  • The Finch House

    • The Lodge is a members hideaway from the rest of the property. A large deck with tables and chairs allows you to kick back, enjoy a beverage, and the beautiful view of the Niagara River. The Lodge also has a kitchen, grills, refrigerator, and plenty of space for setting up food indoors away from the elements.

  • The Pool & Playground

    • Our heated, outdoor, recreational in-ground swimming pool is a great amenity to the club. The Pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and all members are welcome to swim at any time the lifeguards are on duty. Younger children also enjoy our 1 ft. deep wading pool, located within the swim complex.  Lounge chairs surround the perimeter along with tables and umbrellas to shade from the sun. There are both mens and ladies facilities with showers, a sunscreen station, library, and lively music. Bar & food service is available on select days, and our snack shack is available for grab-n-go items. Swim lessons are offered for children age 3 & up, and we even have swim aerobics for all ages!

      The Buffalo Launch Club playground was refreshed in 2019 by a group of members. 

  • Pickleball/Tennis Courts

    • On July 26, 2022, our newly resurfaced tennis/pickelball courts were introduced as the Dan Georger Sports Complex, in honor of our fellow member who first introduced the BLC to the sport of Pickelball.  As part of the resurfacing, the two tennis courts were painted to allow for both tennis and pickleball to be enjoyed by our members. Windscreens surround the courts to allow you to play at any time of day. Members should bring their own rackets and balls for the courts.

  • Dockside Patio

      The Dockside Patio was launched in May 2023 as a general use area for our members! The fire pit tables are a perfect way to enjoy live music throughout the summer.
